what is photodynamic therapy?
Photodynamic therapy is a pioneering light treatment
that is offered at the Hufeland Klinik in Bad Mergenheim, Germany,
as an alternative means of curing cancer. The clinic treats late
stage cancers of all natures and those who have otherwise been considered
incurable. This treatment is currently unavailable in the UK.
The first aim of the therapy is to detoxify the
body and to strengthen the defense mechanisms and patient's whole
condition. The second aim in the therapy is to try to stop tumour
growth and then to reduce it; the third aim is to prolong the patient's
life and to improve the quality of life.
For Jo, this therapy will be combined with a totally
organic diet and an anthroposophic medicine called Iscador, which
is a major prescription against solid tumours in Germany and Switzerland,
but difficult to acquire in the UK.
